Spring is here! Enjoy all the spring and Easter events in Columbus. With Easter brunches, egg hunts, gorgeous spring flowers blooming everywhere, we all have the urge to get out and DO something fun this spring…and Central Ohio has so many choices to offer. There’s an activity or special event for everyone. The winter weather is behind us, it’s time to bask in the beautiful sunshine and do something adventurous. Central Ohio has many wonderful options for you to choose from! The Columbus Team suggests you try something new this spring and enjoy your city!

Kid-Friendly Activities
American Girl Bunny Brunch
Easton Town Center
An annual event, Easton Town Center’s Easter Bunny Brunch with American Girl takes place this year on Sunday, April 11 from 9:30-11 a.m. This fun, sunny brunch with your girl is heartwarming, and there’s a chance to meet the Easter Bunny and have pictures taken. This is for girls, ages 3 and up. BYOC (bring your own camera)! Reservations are required at a cost of $25 per person. Call the Center at 877-247-5223 to save a seat, or visit the American Girl Store Columbus website to make a reservation.
Eggs, Paws and Claws
The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
Children of all ages can enjoy several treat stations at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium as they plan to create EGGstreem fun this time around! Grab a photo with the Easter Bunny at Conversation Lake. Meeting the Bunny is free, but you can purchase a featured photo package for $20. At the Courtyard, there are meets and greets with famous cartoon characters including Bugs Bunny (of course), Daffy Duck, Silver from Angry Birds, and many more.
This two-day event runs on Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can hear your favorite bunny ‘tails’ brought to you by the letter “B” and the Columbus Metropolitan Library. There will be an opportunity to look in on the training sessions for the upcoming Surfin’ Safari Shows, Peter Cottontail will do his thing in a 100,000-gallon tank of water, there’s an egg hunt, and much more.

GPS Egg Hunt
Maple Grove Bulletin Board – Sharon Woods
This annual free event takes place this year at Sharon Woods (6911 Cleveland Ave., Westerville) on Saturday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All ages are welcome for this fun-filled activity, where you can hunt for plastic eggs using GPS and maybe win a prize. Hoppin’ Hound Hunt
Rocky Grove Bulletin Board – Rocky Fork
This free event takes place a little earlier this year than in the past. Join other treasure hunters at Rocky Fork on April 4 at 1 p.m. to hunt for yummy treat-filled Easter eggs. This is one event where you can bring your pooch; in fact, it’s presented in cooperation with RESCUEDOhio. Rocky Fork is located at 7180 Walnut Street in Westerville. The event is free, but you need to register at the Hoppin’ Hound Hunt Eventbrite site.
Blooms & Butterflies
Franklin Park Conservatory
Blooms & Butterflies is a great way to welcome spring! This annual event – or actually, events – at the Conservatory allows you to learn about butterflies and watch them take their first flight. 2020 marks the 26th anniversary of the event. While you can visit any time, there’s a daily workshop at 1 and 3 p.m. called Butterflies 101. The main date to keep in mind is March 14, with a special Mother’s Day release on May 10. Bunny Romp
Hill’s Market of Worthington
Hill’s Market presents their annual Bunny Romp on the Saturday before Easter. It’s for children of all ages, and there’s plenty of children’s entertainment, including an Easter egg hunt. Since many are listing their egg hunts later and later each year, here is a list of the parks and rec centers: please contact the one in your area for times and age limits.
