Below are both terrifying haunted houses and fun un-scary family events…the choice is yours!

HAUNTED HOUSES, COLUMBUS & CENTRAL OH
Are you in the mood to be scared out of your socks? A haunted house experience may be exactly what you need to start the spooky season off right. Here’s a list of Central Ohio haunted houses for you. Scream through just one, or make plans with your friends (and maybe your cardiologist) to be scared senseless at all of them!
The Haunted Hoochie/Dead Acres: A downright infamous event anticipated across the Midwest, and not to be missed by mature scare-fans! Truly ADULT content, including a simulated demonic experience and “Bad Trip in 3-D”. Thursday-Saturday Doors open at 8:00 pm, open as long as there’s a line to get in. Based on a great scary story of an anniversary of a killing, and an open-air creepy wood, this one is not for the uncertain…or for young children! A 45-minute outdoor walking experience, this venue does their best to be accessible to everyone. This is the longest running outdoor haunted event in Ohio and is a fundraiser for the Lion’s Club.
Open Fridays & Saturdays 7:00pm-12:00am through October. NOT necessarily closed for rain…check Facebook for weather updates.
Tickets are $15 and up, group rates available, parking is free, and all proceeds go to charity.

13th Floor: Formerly the Scaratorium. Purchase timed tickets in advance, to avoid the worst of the lines.
Friday-Saturday 7:00pm-12:00am (Sept 13- Nov 09) plus Thursdays & Sundays in October 7:00-10:00pm
Tickets are $20-30 depending on the dates you go. There are additional fees for a Fast Pass or Skip the Line. Room-escape attractions are $5 per room, per person.

Carnage Haunted House: 30 detailed rooms plus they offer horror movies and live music on select nights. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, this one is not for the squeamish or uncertain.
Tickets are $20 and you have the option of purchasing a speed pass as well. Open Fridays and Saturdays September 20th -November 2 7:00 pm-Midnight. Open Thursday and Sunday nights October 13th to 27th from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm. On Halloween night they are open until 11 pm.

Are you looking for family Halloween fun? Here’s the list for you and yours! Fun seasonal things to do indoors and out, and all for families of various ages. Happy Halloween!
All Hallow’s Eve: The Ohio Village offers a traditional and family friendly 19th century Halloween experience, fun for children of all ages. No scares. Open Saturdays, October 12th and 19th, 5:30-9:30pm. Tickets are $16 for adults and $12 for children. Discounts available for members of the OHS. Boo at the Zoo: This relaxed and enjoyable family event has candy stations, the Little Boo maze and mansion, and even a haunted train ride! All suitable for very young children. The emphasis is on the fun side of Halloween…WITHOUT the scary stuff! Open Friday-Sunday evenings, October 11-13, 18-20, 25-27 at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium with Zoo admission or membership. Halloween at FPC: Trick or Treat at the Conservatory. Take the little ones to trick or treat amongst the beautiful foliage! There are multiple stations, bring your own bag and costume.
