When I needed a savvy realtor to help me sell my condo in Victorian Village, where I’ve lived for 25 years, I obviously wanted someone who came highly recommended. My partner had worked with Erin Oxender with The Columbus Team for over ten years and had only positive things (exemplary, actually) to say. I contacted Erin a year before I wanted to put my home on the market, to be sure and plan ahead for any remodeling that she might suggest would earn me the greatest return on my investment. She was blunt (but tactful) about removing all the wallpaper throughout my home (which I had personally picked out years earlier!), repainting, and about putting the place on the market in move-in-condition, that is, with nothing inside except the appliances that were staying. I was impressed that she telephoned me six months later unsolicited. It lit the fire under me to get things moving along. She and an expert from the Team in getting homes ready for sale visited soon after, and we went over what needed to be done. Since I was consolidating households with my partner, I needed to get rid of a lot of “stuff” (furniture, books, knickknacks, wall art, area rugs) before moving. Erin had a list of available contractors for painting, wallpaper removal, moving, junk removal, among other things, that her firm has worked over the years and that she recommended. After contacting several contractors on her list and because I was planning well in advance of my projected listing date (thanks to Erin’s guidance), I had everything scheduled that I needed to with contractors that I trusted. Moving is stressful (understatement); no doubt about it. But throughout the three month process, Erin kept in touch, helped me fill out the paperwork, and carefully explained what her estimate was for selling price–and why. The moving–and all the contract work involved–was completed–and to my specifications–in time for the target listing date . I was really impressed with the on-line listing and marketing of my home that Erin had arranged soon afterwards. A photographer came out, and in addition to beautifully taken photographs, he used a drone to film an aerial view, which was part of the on-line listing. To make a long story short, the first people who looked at my home made an offer–at a price that gave me the return on investment I sought. Several homes in the area have taken longer to sell recently, so I was ecstatic. Unquestionably, it was her list of suggestions about that expedited the sale. Throughout the final paperwork and closing process, Erin guided me every step of the way, along with her thoroughly knowledgeable professional staff. The closing took place on time, and with complete efficiency. In summary, Erin and her staff went above and beyond what I had experienced from other realtors I’ve used. Her kind, cheerful manner helped along the way as well! She–and the Columbus Team at Keller Williams–have my strong recommendation.
