Central Ohio is full of fun things to do for New Year’s Eve this year. Whether it’s a special dinner out or dancing the night away, there’s something for everyone. Many local hotels also have New Year’s Eve packages as well. Make reservations, as everyone is looking for something to do that night!

Take a look at our list, it’s far from comprehensive, but gives you some great ideas for what to do for New Year’s Eve in Central Ohio!

Columbus Blue Jackets Hockey vs. Ottawa Senators

The Columbus Blue Jackets celebrate the New Year with a game against the Ottowa Senators at 7:00 pm.  A great game against the Ottawa Senators, full of hockey excitement, ending in an indoor fireworks show. Tickets start at $34.  Order tickets online or by phone at 800-745-3000        

First Night Columbus

This family-friendly celebration starts early and showcases the arts and a substance-free experience. Tickets are $10 presale (November 1 – December 30), and $15 day of, and kids 3 and under are free. Entertainment varies from live music and demonstrations to COSI events, and much more. See the website for a full listing, and don’t forget the fireworks! Purchase tickets online or call 614-299-9221 for more information.  Parking for First Night Columbus is available for $5 at COSI, or at local parking lots and garages.

Sequoia’s NYE Rockin Bowl Party
Offering an early evening 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Family Party so young children can participate. $99 per lane for up to 6 people – includes unlimited bowling, free shoe rental, a pizza per lane, unlimited pop and $10 in arcade tokens.

At 9:00 pm we begin our Rockin Bowl Party with music, unlimited laser light bowling, free shoe rental and a champagne toast at midnight. $125 per lane for up to 6 people.

Ten Pin Alley
Love to bowl? Ten Pin Alley is the perfect place to ring in the new year. With three packages to choose from, there’s a daytime and an evening package with VIP options.  The daytime party package reservations are available for 11:00 am, 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm – with two hours of bowling, shoes for up to 6 people and a $30 game card. $125 per lane prepaid.

 Hollywood Casino
Join the exclusive Under the Sea New Year’s Eve Party.  Tickets are $75 per person and include the Midnight Balloon Drop, an excellent buffet, a reserved seat for the night’s festivities and dancing with 17th floor.  9:30 pm – 2:00 am in the H Lounge.  Purchase tickets online or call 614-308-3333 for more details on reservations, dress code, and costs.

New Years Eve on the Farm
Enjoy the music you love to dance to at Blystone Farm – 7:00 pm – 12:30 am. 8677 Oregon Road, Canal Winchester.  $85 per each and $155 per couple. Admission includes a night full of decadent foods, drink specials, table games, raffles all night and broadcasting the ball dropping at 11:45 pm.  Dress is nice but don’t overdress.  Buy tickets at blystonefarm.com to avoid fees.

Grandview Cafe
Two levels and multiple bars set the stage for this event running from 9:00 pm until close.  $15 in advance, $20 at the door with live music.  Must be 21 to attend.  For $500 you can purchase a premium party package which includes a booth or table for four on the first floor, 4 admission tickets, 2 bottles of premium liquor of your choice, mixers/garnishes and 1 bottle of champagne.  1455 West 3rd Avenue.

BYOB New Year’s Eve 26 Passenger Private Trolley
