Have you discovered the MyColumbus App for smart phones yet? It’s free from your device’s App store, and is an award-winning tool for connecting to Columbus city initiatives and to many city services.

Columbus Initiatives

Initiatives such as My Neighborhood, Get Active, and Get Green are integrated into the app. My Neighborhood section allows you to see bus schedules, city projects, Health Inspector reports for local restaurants and businesses, and more. Get Active gives you information about parks, rec centers, sports games, and tips on diet and exercise. Get Green shows you info on green local businesses and gives you tips on sustainable living.

City Services

The app allows you to easily connect with the Columbus 311 service center, where you can customize your settings to get notifications about trash, recycling, and yard waste, as well as news and alerts for the whole city. The 311 service center also allows you to make service requests such as large item trash pick ups, pothole repair, etc.

With about half the population now using smart phones or tablets as their mobile device of choice, the MyColumbus App is a great way to get information, request and track city services, and keep up to date with what’s happening in your neighborhood.
