February 2022 Events

Valentine’s Day is around the corner, and though our mixed bag of mild/cold weather will continue this month, you know spring is just around the corner. While you wait for the consistently good weather, take advantage of these February activities, many of which are free or budget friendly.

Saturday and Sunday, February 5-6 – for All – Ready for a weekend full of natural history? Learn more about plants and animals at Wild Ohio Weekend! Visit Ohio History Connection’s website for the complete list of activities.

Thursday, February 10 – for All – The Wexner Center presents DANCE@30FPS, organized by Ohio State’s Department of Dance, this festival celebrates the latest fusions of filmmaking and choreography from all around the world. This event is Free for all audiences with ticket. Get your ticket here.

Friday, February 11 – for Women – Be thrilled and invite your gal pals on this fun and interactive event: Galentine’s Day with The Lady Lounge. Enjoy a night of candle making hosted by Studio 614. There will also be local pop-ups from local brands and the Galentine ladies will receive a special treat which includes Bestie bags full of goodies. Monday, February 21 – for All – When is the last time you and your family went to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium? Would you like to go for free? On President’s Day, you and the family can do just that! You will need to pay $10 per vehicle for parking (if you’re a non-member). You may be surprised how many animals thrive in the cold weather, and what their natural habitats look like. More information can be found here.

Monday, February 28 – for Adults – Join “Let’s Dish: A Cookbook Club” at Old Worthington Library. Talk, tempt, and taste during this book discussion event that’s all about food! To participate, prepare a recipe from any of these cookbooks (Dinner Just for Two by Christina Lane and All Time Best Dinners for Two by Cook’s Illustrated).
