It’s true! Take a self-guided cell phone tour of the Columbus Museum of Art…kids love to dial the phone for information, and parents love to see them learning more about art from every era and genre. All eras and styles of art are represented at CMA, and the museum takes great pride in their displays. Local art is well-represented, in addition to the old masters, and even the best of post-modern and modern art. When you are done looking at the displays of paintings, sketches, sculpture and more, try one of the special programs and classes offered every month for all ages. There’s even a whole interactive art education area with exhibits in which small visitors can poke, open, listen to, draw, create, and dress up while exploring! Check the website for more details, and sign up for their newsletter to stay in the Columbus Art loop!
The museum has a fabulous collection of art and welcomes the best traveling exhibits in the country through its doors every year. Art lovers of all ages are going to want to purchase an annual membership, as there is simply too much to see in one trip.
Admission is free to members and guests 3 and under, $18 for adults, and Seniors and students are $9 with proper ID. Admission is free on Sundays! A part of the Blue Star Museums program, Active Military and families are also free (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and National Guard and Reserves).
