Have you heard of the Columbus PUP campaign? PUP stands for Pick Up Poop, and Columbus is reminding citizens that it’s the law to scoop that dog poop, even on your own lawn!
It not only annoys the neighbors as being smelly and unsightly, but bacteria such as ecoli that enters our freshwater streams and rivers from our lawn runoff can cause pollution that can be difficult and expensive to remove.
If you’d like to register your PUP pledge, the city is offering to send you bandana or free bag dispenser to hang on your pup’s leash to make picking up that dog poop easy and clean.
Be a good neighbor. Help the city of Columbus keep our water supply safe and clean: Scoop that poop!
