Gahanna Jefferson Public School District is located in northeast Franklin County, and 8 miles from downtown Columbus, Ohio. The district includes the city of Gahanna, and parts of Jefferson and Mifflin Townships. Gahanna Jefferson has seven elementary schools, three middle schools, and one high school, and one combined middle and high school serving about 7,000 students.

Ohio Department of Education awarded Gahanna Jefferson Public Schools the rating of Excellent with Distinction for exceeding the academic standards set by Ohio in the last school year reported. Gahanna Jefferson Schools offer award-winning music, journalism, speech and drama, television, and marketing education programs. The DECA Marketing program was ranked first in the nation in 2011 which capped twelve consecutive years as a top 10 chapter at the international conference. They also offer AP and Honors classes and post-secondary curriculum.
